Who We Are
Motafrenz is more than just a car club; it’s a place where LGBTIQ+ individuals and allies can connect over their love for vehicles. Established to foster a safe and supportive environment, we organise a variety of events and activities catering to all levels of car interest.

If you have a car which is 25 years or older, and you plan to use it less than 90 days a year, we can save you hundreds of dollars every year on rego and insurance.

Join us for a relaxed evening where good conversation comes just as easily as the laughs. Whether you’re brand new or have been around for years, this is a great chance to connect, share ideas, and feel part of what makes Motafrenz tick.

⏱ Runs for around 30–60 minutes
New members — this is the perfect first event. It’s a smaller, comfortable setting and a great way to put faces to names.
Existing members — come reconnect, catch up, and help shape what’s ahead. We genuinely encourage input from everyone. Every idea matters, and every voice is heard.
This month we’re meeting at a venue, making it an easy and relaxed space to settle in.
Before and after the meeting, we’ll enjoy a drink together and stay on for dinner — because the best conversations usually happen off the agenda.
Come along, bring your thoughts, and enjoy a great night with the Club.

Like trivia? Like orienteering? Like a nice casual cruise? Then join us for a fun filled day. For nearly twenty-five years, Motafrenz has presented this great event. Now, it's time to take it on the road again!
Gather some friends to share the fun. You may need many eyes to help with the questions en-route. Come along to this most enjoyable drive along highways and byways to a gorgeous secret lunch spot. Use your best navigation, observation and problem-solving skills along the way. Pack a picnic lunch or pick up a little something from one of the many great places we stop at along the way. Relax and catch up with Motafrenz.
The route is classic-car friendly. Prizes for highest scores, wooden spooners and most fabulous picnic spread!
Proceeds from this event will be used to support the Club’s philanthropic endeavours.
BRING: Family, friends, enemies, and arch-rivals to help you navigate. You might also bring an old-fashioned map to help you along the way. A picnic lunch (if you’re not buying something on the way), drinks, insect repellent, sunscreen, hat, chair and picnic blanket should you choose to dine in style. We cannot guarantee the availability of BBQs, so bring food ready-to-eat. BYO Drinks.
PETS: We suggest no pets. Pets may not be allowed at some points along the way.

Indulge in Pacinos' famous parmas, available in a variety of mouth-watering options, all for just $10-15. Plus, enjoy cheap sides and a range of vego options from their full menu. And to quench your thirst, they're fully licensed!
The evening kicks off with a casual car park crawl from 7:00 pm - 7:25 pm, where you can admire the rides and catch up with fellow enthusiasts. Then, at 7:30 pm, we'll take our seats and get ready to order by 7:45 pm.

The Motafrenz Show & Shine is a celebration of automotive splendor.
Motafrenz has invited the Car Gays of Australia, Melbourne Motorcycle Tourers and Dykes on Bikes Melbourne to join us in presenting a spectacular display of vehicles spanning almost a century! Our Show & Shine is a fully inclusive celebration, welcoming all vehicles, regardless of age, make, condition, configuration, colour, or creed.
Whether you're a proud owner looking to showcase your prized possession, or simply an enthusiast eager to meet fellow motoring enthusiasts, this event is perfect for you. Enjoy a relaxing day in a picturesque setting, share stories, and exchange knowledge with like-minded individuals.
Why not add an extra layer of fun to your experience by embracing a theme?
Could it be “picnic perfection”, “bush bashing beauty”, maybe match your car in “era eleganza”, or full on “marque madness”?
The options are bound only by your imagination.
You will have a chance to vote for favourite vehicles, with a special President's Choice award up for grabs.

BOOKING: To display your vehicle, you will be required to purchase your entry ticket from Event Page on Humanitix via Get Tickets link.
BRING: Family, friends and a picnic lunch. There is also the alfresco Kanteen café on the bank of the Yarra River.
SUITS: All motorised vehicles - not limited to cars and bikes.
MOTAFRENZ ENDORSED CPS EVENT: Motafrenz policies require members with vehicles on our Club Permit Scheme (CPS) register to have their vehicle sighted at one event per year and this is the ideal opportunity for that sighting.
ROADS: Sealed roads. Parking on grass.
PETS: This is a pet-friendly event, but as this event is being held in a public park, please ensure you clean up after them!
COST:
$5 per car EARLY BIRD for Motafrenz Members (before Oct 19)

Every month, we gather at the Pascoe Vale slot car raceway for an evening of friendly competition, laughs, and socialising. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a newbie, all are welcome to join in on the fun!
Loan cars are available for those who want to give it a try, and our experienced members will be happy to show you the ropes. It's a great opportunity to meet new people and catch up with old friends in a relaxed and entertaining atmosphere.
BYO snacks to fuel your racing spirit, and enjoy the soft drinks, tea, and coffee on us! Arrive around 7pm for warm up, and get ready to start your engines shortly after.
