What a fun day this was!
A glorious sunny day greeted us as we set-up for the day. Bill from Queer TV was filming the pre-tour proceedings – keep an eye out on channel 31 for a forthcoming TV show.
The large contingent of a wide variety of vehicles set-off for the 42(ish)km trip to the mystery destination. We’d calculated a rough 1.5/2.5hr time allowance for the journey – with most teams finishing in the estimated time. With a single “we’re lost” call from one team and a “are you ok” call to our last to finish team, the drive went well.
A couple of curly questions and some amusing photo opportunities were included to keep people on their toes. Jeez – we don’t want it to be too easy…
During the Tour, teams were asked who they’d like to support with the surplus funds. A resounding majority expressed their desire to support Switchboard in continuing their very important programs.
The winning team were the first to finish as well – and scarily completed the course generating a close to perfect score! Well done to them! Mike and Cesc did really well as per their norm – what do we have to do to stop them landing on the podium? Another big congratulations to the Girls in team Qashqai! We won’t embarrass our wooden spooners…
We hope to see everyone again next year – tell your friends, put a team together and have a giggle!
