The Friday evening DATA (Drive And Take Away) – Brighton to Seaford went nicely and casual. It was great to catch up with members who have been away and the run went well considering all the rain and floods and we had a sky blue sky with a somewhat fresh chilly breeze in the air.

From our meet-up spot in Brighton we headed south along the coast of Port Phillip to our first stop at the Ricketts Point. Here we looked over choppy seas with one pelican and some of us got to admire the beautiful lush coastal fauna. It certainly is a picturesque spot and it was suggested that we should have a day run and enjoy the cafe located here. This was the perfect spot to park together and get a few photos before heading further around the bay of Port Phillip to Seaford where nearly all of us enjoyed perfect fish and chips but it was reported that one serve was under cooked.
We avoided the pier with the seagulls and mossies, only because the chilling wind wasn’t inviting us to the beach, so we ate outside the icecream parlour which was just too tempting for some sweet and cold.

Anyway, that’s a wrap on the event that replaces cheap-eats, and hopefully the next DATA event will be on the other side of Port Phillip as these DATA events work their way around Melbourne so there should be one close to you at some stage.
