DESCRIPTION: We start the evening with an informal garage talk where we gather and talk of our latest acquisitions, our next planned upgrades to our current drives, and some general chit-chat about whatever our current interests are.
We then move on to the Conference Room on Level 3 for our quick (usually 60 minutes) Members’ Meeting. Regular meetings to conduct official business are a requirement of our Rules of Association. Previously called Committee Meetings, these meetings are a place for discussion for all Members, and we try to keep them interesting and engaging. It is a nice relaxed place for new Members to come and meet us, and an enjoyable opportunity for existing Members to reconnect with old friends. We always allow input from all Members, and every contribution is respected. Our meeting venue is easily accessed, but private – making it ideal for those wishing to pop in for a look without the need to commit to the whole thing. You may even video-conference in.
After the Meeting, we will take a short stroll to one of the local eateries on Burwood Road for a reasonably priced dinner.
DATE: Second Wednesday of each month
TIME: Meeting starts at 7:30pm. Garage Talk from 7:00 and Cheap Eats after 8:30
WHERE: Swinburne University of Technology, Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship, Level 3 Conference Room, Corner of William and Wakefield Streets, Hawthorn
PARKING: Unrestricted parking on William Street, or nearby Burwood Road
PUBLIC TRANSPORT: Glenferrie Station is located on the university’s campus
and is accessed from the Lilydale, Belgrave and Alamein lines
COST: Free to attend. Pay for your own dinner and Myki as required.
