DETAILS: Being cold and snowing hopefully, the pre-meet location has plenty of parking right near the miniature railway station and a great opportunity to look at members’ cars
and chat before checking out this amazing miniature 7¼” gauge Diamond Valley Railway where we can have a long ride for just $4 around a massive network of tracks running through the bush. After midday we’re then heading off for a 15 minute drive to the Panton Hill Pub to arrive no later than 1 pm. We are booked at the hotel from midday for lunch.
Please bring a ~$10 Kris Kringle gift wrapped and hand it to the MC and his/her trusty elves who take care of it until Mary Clause joyfully orders one of her elves to hand you another one you can unwrap.
The Motafrenz Christmas in July is one of the best attended events of the year and is always a jolly good time so we all hope to see you there. Feel free to dress up for the occasion.
WHEN: Sunday 16 July 2023
TIME: 9:00 am for pre-meet for garage talk and miniature train rides and then off to the Panton Hill Hotel to arrive at midday for a no later than 12:30 pm arrival. We did this in 2019 and it was a wonderful way to start the day. And there was a coffee van there too!
PRE-MEET: The pre-meet place is at Lower Eltham Park, opposite 543 Main Road Eltham, where the Diamond Valley Railway is located.
DESTINATION: Panton Hill Pub 633 Kangaroo Ground-St Andrews Rd, Panton Hill
BOOKING: Essential for pub lunch reservation.
BRING: ~$10 Kris Kringle, warm clothes, umbrella, friends, family, your Christmas spirit and perhaps even some Christmas bling to boot. The more the merrier. And of course your best vehicle to enjoy the drive and show to others. Even a raincoat just in case.
SUITS VEHICLES: Sleigh if it’s snowing, otherwise something with at least two wheels.
ROAD CONDITIONS: Sealed – Freeway & main roads. Probably no snow.
PETS: Leave pooch at home.
