EVENT: Magical Mystery Tour with Motafrenz Car Club
WHEN: Sunday, 29th January, 2023
TIME: 9:00am for a 9:45am start – concluding at a mystery picnic location. (Approx. 2 hours touring + time for lunch/socialising/swimming)
PRE-MEET: Como Park North, 150 Alexandra Ave, South Yarra. Enter the park via the driveway opposite Kanteen Kiosk.
DESCRIPTION: Like trivia? Like orienteering? Like a nice casual cruise? Then join us for a fun filled day. For twenty years, Motafrenz has presented this great annual Midsumma event. Gather some friends to share the fun. You may need many eyes to help with the questions en-route. Come along to this most enjoyable drive along highways and byways to a gorgeous secret lunch spot. Use your best navigation, observation and problem-solving skills along the way. Pack a picnic lunch or pick up a little something from one of the many great places we stop at along the way. Relax and catch up with Motafrenz.
The route is classic-car friendly. Be sure to bring your togs as there may be an opportunity for a swim at the final destination!
Prizes for highest scores, wooden spooners and most fabbest auto.
A fun drive and picnic to who knows where, with surplus funds donated to Motafrenz members Daniel and Anthony’s entry in the Summer Shitbox Rally, in support of the Cancer Council.
RSVP: Preferred.
BRING: Family, friends, enemies and arch-villains to help you navigate. You might also bring an old-fashioned map to help you along the way. A picnic lunch, drinks, insect repellent, sunscreen, hat, e-tag, chair and picnic blanket should you choose to dine in style. We cannot guarantee the availability of BBQs, so bring food ready-to-eat. And don’t forget your sexy man-kini for a refreshing dip at the end.
